Acrostic puzzles
Each puzzle contains a quotation
made by the person whose name appears in its title. When you
solve the words on the right, letters you enter will appear in
the corresponding number in the cells of the quotation.
Any characters you type will be
placed into the puzzle at the red and blue 'focus' cells. The
red focus cell will then move on to the next letter of the word
in which it is located. The blue focus cell will also move on to
a new location determined by the index number found in the red
focus cell.
The focus can be shifted by pointing and clicking with the
mouse, or by means of the arrow keys.
-
If you solve the WORDS correctly, you will see a message
gradually appear in the left hand section of the puzzle. This
message is described by the word(s) consisting of the
highlighted first letters of the words you have solved.
